...I'm an adult who is a graduating senior from high school. (:
Super excited to go to DC on the 18th!
However, now that I'm graduating, I was forced to turn in "my" photography equipment back to school... Now I have nothing.
I most likely won't be posting any serious photos for a very long time. Or at least, until I somehow acquire hundreds of dollars to pay for new equipment.
My dreams will have to be put on hold for awhile.

It's official...
My "Silhouette" photograph won first place in the 9th Congressional Art Competition!!
My family and I attended the award ceremony banquet this afternoon and it was absolutely wonderful. We met our Congressman (who was very kind!), and were given the opportunity to talk with other artists about their work too. It was such a fun day and I'm so happy to be given this opportunity to put my own work out there like that. Thank you to all my friends and family for giving me endless support!
It will be on display within the Cannon Tunnel in Washington DC for a year, which is amazing even though it's just for a year. (:

My new memory card arrived after I got home from school earlier today! I'm so excited!!!
There's seriously a major difference between my old and new card. It's crazy how easily all the flaws can be recognized on the old by comparing the two. As soon as I could open the packaging, I immediately started taking "test" photographs. Mostly of flowers and tires, but they all turned out wonderful with almost no need for editing. *sigh* I'm so glad I took a chance on the thirty dollars. So worth the money! (:
